Private guitar lessons from Houston In Home Music Teachers help students learn to perform their favorite songs as well as read and write music at any level, from a beginner picking up a guitar for the first time, to an experienced guitar player looking to improve their performance.

During private guitar lessons, students learn to identify the parts of the guitar, correct tuning and how the notes are laid out on the fret board. Our professional guitar instructors also teach the proper way to hold a guitar, hand positioning, strumming and finger picking as dexterity increases.

Students learn to play notes, build chords and learn music theory which gives them the foundation they need to play a wide variety of musical styles.

Houston In Home Music Teachers hold advanced music degrees with a concentration on guitar and have performed on stage nationally and internationally with groups ranging from large ensembles to popular rock bands.
