Mr. Jason Jiang was born into a musical family; his parents are both violinists in the Shandong Symphony Orchestra, and Jason began studying the violin when he was just 3 years old.

Moving to the United States, Jason received a full scholarship to complete both his Bachelor's and his Master's degrees at the the University of Mississippi. He had always been passionate about sharing his love of music with others, and as a graduate student Jason decided to double major in Music Education as well as Viola Performance. During his years at UMS, Jason was the Concertmaster and principal viola in the LOU symphony orchestra. He has also performed in various orchestras and quartets throughout the United States.

Jason has achieved numerous awards at a wide variety of festivals and competitions, including the Fifth Art Festival of International Students (Diamond Award, Violin Competition; First Prize, Professional Viola group); the Ninth World Arts Festival (Gold Medal, Violin Competition); the Fifth Strait Youth Arts Festival (Second Prize, Professional Violin group); the Sixth Asian Arts Festival (Second Prize, Professional Violin group); and the Charming China International Culture Art Festival (First Prize, Professional Viola group; Third Prize, Bel Canto Professional group). 

Mr Jiang has been teaching violin for over 10 years, including 3 years teaching classes in the Oxford String Project. He teaches the violin and viola at all skill levels, from beginner to advanced, and his students have ranged in age from 5 through adults. His focuses on helping his students to grow in their love of music, while also ensuring that they learn correct technique, posture, theory, and fundamentals. 

Mr. Jiang believes that anyone and everyone can learn music, and that musical ability can be developed over time through hard work and dedication. Individual students simply have different talents and abilities, and the right teacher can help them to discover and explore their unique musical potential. Most importantly of all, learning music should be enjoyable and fun!.
