Originally from Venezuela, Billy Gil began his musical studies at the age of 6, under the tutelage of Professor Carlos Sala Ballester. During those years, Billy studied and interpreted pieces of all musical periods, from the Baroque era to the twentieth century. He participated in the National Piano Contest "Silvia Eisenstein" in the category of children up to 8 years. Billy also had the opportunity to perform at young talent shows in Caracas at the "Manuel Alberto López" School, in Valencia at the "Braulio Salazar" Art Gallery and at La Victoria at the "Primo Casale" School.

At age 12, Billy began to study both acoustic and electric guitar. He is also self-taught on multiple musical instruments, including the harmonica, drums, cajon, congas and bongos, bass guitar, ukulele, and the Cuatro Venezolano. Billy earned an Associate in Music & Music Education at Miami Dade College, where he was a member of the college's main choir and "Chamber Singers" group. He was also as a member of the Award-Winning Miami Dade College Orchestra. Billy was awarded the "Best Original Composition" at the Miami Festival of the Arts of 2018, and also performed with the classic rock band "Leather and Lace" throughout 2018 and 2019.

Billy has taught music for several years. His curriculum mainly draws from the "Kodaly Method," which is a way of developing musical skills and teaching musical concepts for young children and adults alike.
