Guitar

Edmund Parry started his musical journey at two years old, playing a used violin until he smashed it; even then, he knew he wanted to be a guitar player.

Edmund's pursuit of musical excellence is not limited to his talent alone. He is currently honing his skills at Loyola University New Orleans, where he is studying towards his B.S. in  Popular and Commercial Music with a  focus in Guitar. His dedication has been recognized with the prestigious Crescent City Scholarship and the Dean's Scholarship.

Edmund's musical prowess extends beyond the classroom. He is a regular performer with his band, who recently graced the stage at the 2024 French Quarter Festival,  the largest free music event in the United States. Their talent caught the attention of news channel WWL-4, which featured them in three television segments. Edmund's versatility is evident in his collaborations with various groups, leading to additional gigs at French Quarter Fest, the iconic Tipitina's, and numerous other music clubs in New Orleans. A career highlight for Edmund was a performance at Southport  Hall for Make Music NOLA, a nonprofit that provides access and lessons  to underprivileged children in the New Orleans Community.

Edmund wants to pay homage to the multiple teachers who have taught him by endeavoring to pass down the spirit, culture, and technical abilities that he has been so fortunate to receive. He ultimately wants every student to express themselves comfortably on the guitar,  whether for fun, as a method of healing, or as a career.

Edmund's lessons are structured around having his students learn a basic foundation in guitar and music theory and then develop their own style by studying their favorite bands and songs.
