Nani Harborth is a dedicated and passionate music educator who has enriched the lives of many students with her profound love for music. She holds a Bachelor's in Music Education from Texas A&M University-Kingsville, where she studied under Dr. Joachim Reinhuber, Dr. Kellie Lignitz-Hahn, and Dr. Kenneth Williams.
As a teacher, Ms. Harborth has been teaching private piano, voice clarinet, and beginner ukulele for many years and has taught music for six years in public schools.
Ms. Harborth started her music journey at the age of 2, singing in church with grandma and mom to learning piano at nine. She studied under Barbara Goetsch, who encouraged her to compete in the Corpus Christi Hymn Festivals and U.I.L Solo and ensembles throughout middle and high school. In sixth grade, Ms. Harborth picked up the clarinet and excelled in many ways throughout middle and high school. She started her music education degree with an emphasis on clarinet, performing with marching and concert bands.
She realized piano was her passion and switched to the piano/choir world. Ms. Harborth has performed as a vocalist with the Texas A&M University-Kingsville Concert Choir, Chamber singers, and multiple community choirs. In 2015 and 2016, she was a semi-finalist for the NATS competitions. In 2017, she performed as a soprano soloist with the Kingsville Symphony Orchestra for Mozart's Requiem Mass in D minor. In 2020, she was one of many who managed to Perform with Eric Whitaker's virtual choir.
Ms. Nani is diverse in her learning, and her students benefit from her patient and encouraging demeanor, which fosters a positive and productive learning environment. She believes everyone has a voice and the power to transform, illuminate, and inspire others with music.
