Trombone, Trumpet, Euphonium
Mr. Randy Brennen has been involved with music his whole life to one degree or another. His early years of singing in church led to playing trombone, beginning in the seventh grade. Originally a music major in college right out of high school, he diverted to the counseling field for a time, earning his Bachelor's degree in Education Guidance from the University of North Texas. Even after changing fields from music to guidance, he still actively pursued singing in his local church. Eventually, his passion for music could not be denied, and he returned to UNT, earning another Bachelor's degree, this time in Music Education and spending the next 14 years in the classroom as a band director.
Mr. Brennen is still involved in music at a major music retailer, but his real inspiration comes as a private instructor. He uses his knowledge of education to tailor his instruction to the needs of each individual student, seeking to not only teach music, but to inspire personal growth and achievement in his students. He continues to sing in his church choir and encourages his instrumental students to use a vocal expressiveness in order to build comprehensive musicianship.
